By booking with Capes & Crowns, you are agreeing to Capes & Crowns policies.
| Cancellation Policy | Cancelation Policy: Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. For parties and events you may be refunded in full (not including your deposit), as long as a cancelation is made 1 week beforehand. If a cancelation is made within the week of your event, you will receive a 50% refund (outside of your deposit). If a cancelation is made 48 hours or less before your event, you may not receive a refund.
| Late Bookings | Any booking received with less than 2 week notice will be considered a "Late Booking". This means that Capes and Crowns reserves the right to charge up to a $50.00 surcharge per character for bookings made and paid for in this time period to make up for the additional costs of performers' schedule inconvenience, travel time and gas to picking up costumes with a late notice. We appreciate your understanding as it takes a lot of time and last minute planning to make last minute bookings a magical reality.
| Rescheduling Bookings | If you choose to reschedule for a later date, you may do so at no extra charge IF the reschedule date is requested 2 weeks or more before your original booking date. If it is less than 2 weeks before the original booking date when the request for a reschedule is made, Capes and Crowns reserves the right to add a $50.00 surcharge per character.
| Performer Rights | If at any time a performer feels that he/she is in a hostile, unsafe, hazardous, otherwise unacceptable environment, that performer has the right leave with full compensation from the client. They may or may not give a behavior warning before they leave. The performer also has the right to refuse to services if the client is negligent, absent, disrespectful, and/or inebriated or under the influence of any foreign substance.
| Travel Charges | Capes and Crowns will charge $1.25 for every mile outside of a 10 mile radius from our office located at 2770 E Franklin Ste 1, Meridian, ID, 83642. These costs are to be paid up front and will be clearly specified prior to the event.
| Performer Requests | We cannot always guarantee that a certain performer will be available. Thank you for understanding.
| Cancellations | Capes and Crowns has never canceled a party in our 6+ years of business. We always schedule backups for events. If some reason should arise that a client needs to cancel their party, the deposit will not be refunded. Instead- the deposit will be able to be used for any event within 365 days of the original event date. If for some reason Capes and Crowns does cancel a party, we will refund you entire invoice amount.
| Pets/Animals | Please kennel or otherwise restrain any and all animals during the event. This will allow our performers to focus on providing your son/daughter the best possible experience while protecting them and their costumes from harm. Failure to comply will result in the performer leaving with full compensation. Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets to the performers’ costumes.
| Gratuity | Gratuity is never required but always appreciated. All our actors/actresses are highly trained to make sure your party is perfect! If you feel our performer did an outstanding job, please feel free to acknowledge their talents and efforts as you feel appropriate.
| Weather Conditions | To protect against inclement weather, indoor events are strongly recommended. For the sake of our performers' safety, we reserve the right not perform outdoors when temperatures drop below 65F or exceed 85F. In the case of inclement weather (rain, snow, hail, etc.) the client will be responsible of finding a suitable indoor venue, otherwise the event will be rescheduled. If no reschedule date can be agreed upon, this contract shall become null and void, all deposit and balance payments shall be refunded in full, and both parties shall have no further legal recourse against each other. |Exclusivity Clause We do not allow competing companies with "similar characters" at any of our events. Capes and Crowns reserves full right to leave the event with full compensation if this occurs. We cannot control the actions of other companies nor do we want any confusion which character is from what company. Capes and Crowns will leave with full compensation with no push back from a client. |Children Must Be Supervised Children are not allowed to be without parental supervision at any point during our events. Please remember that our characters and their handlers are entertainers, not childcare providers.
| Keep Magic Alive | Keep the magic alive! Please encourage guests to pretend along with our characters, even if they are old enough to know that our princesses and heroes are simply actors. If a child or adult tries to ruin the magic, our characters are trained to answer questions, but may choose to ignore those trying to ruin the magic to focus on those who do believe. Characters will park their cars discreetly so children do not see something that may ruin the magic, like a princess driving a Honda! Please do not let your children follow the characters back to their car.
| Character Expectations | Please allow your character to arrive within 10-15 after your booked character arrival time. Our characters will do their best to arrive as requested but there may be times where your character is coming from a previous party that ran behind. To ensure that your character is there during your party time, we suggest allowing an hour between character expected departure and your party end time. We always do our best to get through all the games and activities we bring, however it is not always possible. If the children are loving a certain activity, our characters may decide to play it longer, and not do another activity that they feel the children would not be as interested in. Or if the children are most excited to talk and bond with our characters, this may cut into game time! If you would like all games, or certain activities to be played, please let us know beforehand!
| Liability | Although all our activities are "low-risk", Capes & Crowns is not liable for any guests or customers injured during a party or event.
| Copyright | It is not the intention of Capes & Crowns to violate any copyright laws. All of our characters are generic storybook characters. By booking a character with us you fully understand that you are not booking a copyrighted character.
